Hello.
Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, particularly when you are unsure where to start. You do not need to have all the answers or know exactly what you need from therapy, we can work that out together at a pace that feels right for you.
I’m Anna, an Integrative Person-Centred Therapist and founder of Ascend Therapy. I offer one-to-one support for adults, either in-person, online or by telephone.
I welcome people from all walks of life and aim to create a warm, accepting space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we can explore whatever feels important to you.
Therapy can be short or long term, depending on your needs.
My approach.
My approach is Integrative Person-Centred, combining the foundations of person-centred therapy with other perspectives and ways of working that can support your individual needs. This may include creative and somatic approaches, exploring what comes up for you emotionally and through your body.
I believe you are the expert in your own experience. I offer a space to slow down, explore what is happening beneath the surface and reconnect with your own inner knowing, rather than telling you what you should think or feel.
Spirituality and transcendence are particular areas of interest within my practice. These can mean different things to different people and may include faith, intuition, connection, consciousness, meaning, purpose or a sense of something beyond our everyday experience.
Experience.
I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS check.
